A really well-established, Scottish-Founded organisation that operates in a rewarding and positive sector, is looking for a passionate Software Developer (.Net) to join their hybrid team in Glasgow.
They’ve been operating for well over 20 years now and are considered as market-leaders within their field. They have an IT function of roughly thirty now and they work across the whole of the UK and EU. Technology is at the heart of this business, and they operate in the ‘tech for good’ space, so all of the work you’ll be doing will have a direct positive impact on the lives of many.
You’ll be joining their Agile Software team based out of Glasgow that is made up of roughly nine. You’ll report directly to the Development Manager, working alongside the rest of the cross-functional IT team which is made up of Developers, Testers, and Support Analysts. You’ll ideally be coming in as one of the more experienced Developers into the team, as they’re hoping you’ll be able to work pretty independently, feel comfortable with some project ownership, and even help to mentor some of the less experienced team members.
The organisation is really committed to staying up to date with the latest tech trends; they’re already on .Net9 and will continue to modernise each year. They’re also in an Azure environment and are using modern technologies like Docker and Kubernetes. They’re ideally looking for a Developer that shares their passion for modern technology and is keen to experiment and work with the latest tech on the market.
They have a pretty big runway of projects lined up for the next year or so, so there will be plenty to stick your teeth into. A big chunk of these will be new and existing internal-facing platforms and apps that will be used to help maximise efficiency, speed, and safety within and outside the organisation.
You’ll ideally have experience with the following:
1. Modern .Net (they’re currently on .Net9)
2. Blazor (or exposure to JS libraries)
3. Azure
4. Database development (SQL or Entity Framework)
Experience with the following is highly desirable:
1. Kubernetes or Docker
2. Software Architecture
3. Coaching and Mentoring Experience
This role would be really suited for a collaborative Developer that is looking for an opportunity where they can continue to work with modern technologies and gain real exposure to owning and leading projects – there is lots of scope here for autonomy and additional responsibilities.
Their offices are based just outside central Glasgow, with parking onsite and great transport links – so it’s really accessible. They do support hybrid working, where you’d be expected onsite three days per week for face-to-face time with the team.
In return, the organisation is offering a salary from £40k to £55k for the role (depending on experience) with a benefits package to match. In addition, there is a genuine opportunity here to progress your career with additional responsibilities.
