JOB ADVERT – TEAM LEADER – DUNSTABLE
Are you an experienced Team Leader with a Laundry background?
We have an amazing opportunity for a Team Leader at Synergy LMS at our Dunstable site. The successful candidate will have experience within the laundry industry and can confidently lead, manage, motivate, and delegate to their team of supervisors and operatives.
The successful candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, operationally understand the current production levels, and ensure that targets are being met by the teams. They should also confidently report on operational KPI’s, issues, and manage all health and safety requirements. The role will also involve heavy recruitment and development of colleagues to ensure that we have the correct staffing levels and train and develop the teams.

Role: Team Leader
Responsible to: Production Manager.
Responsible for: Efficient functioning of production shifts, adherence to process control procedures, and general management of production operatives.
Authority over: Supervisors, Production & Dispatch Operatives.
Duties and Responsibilities
Operations
1. Organising and managing staffing levels to meet production demands.
2. Through Supervisors and Operatives, ensure pro-actively that all operatives are delegated.
3. Ensuring all production activities are carried out in accordance with the Company's written procedures.
4. Ensure, on a daily basis, all available linen is processed as required to fulfil orders.
5. Ongoing monitoring of productivity to help maximise efficiency.
6. Monitor product allocation in dispatch to ensure customers receive their required products.
7. Monitor and ensure special processes such as Customer owned product, Return to Sender, and Process & Return are completed on a daily basis.
8. Consistently review production processing looking for ways and ideas to improve efficiency.
9. Identify key personnel and pro-actively improve their multi-skills knowledge throughout all operations.
Quality Control
1. Working with the Quality Manager to create a quality-driven environment.
2. Carrying out internal audits as requested by the Quality Manager.
3. Liaison with Customer Services to correct problems which arise through the control center.
Health & Safety
* Employees to be aware of the responsibilities placed on them under the Health & Safety at Work Act (1974), to ensure that the agreed Health & Safety training is mandatory for all members of staff.
* Responsible for the appropriate Risk Management of Health Safety items & the necessary reporting of incidents, including RIDDOR requirements.
* To carry out risk assessments and to identify, implement and monitor corrective remedial action in the form of safe systems of work.
* Maintain the welfare and security of Personnel.
* Ensure all aspects of Health & Safety are adhered to.
* Ensure that monthly Health & Safety meetings are held and minutes recorded.
Weekly rotating shifts between morning and afternoon/evening hours:
* Morning Shift: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
* Afternoon Shift: 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM
