Job Title - Housing support worker Head office Location - Brindley Place, Birmingham Location - Nuneaton Hourly Pay- £12.14 per hour Contract type - Permanent Working hours - 35 hrs per week About the role The Housing Support Worker will be working with homeless clients with complex needs in a project environment which also involves dispersed properties. Working 35 hours a week Monday to Friday between the hours of 9.00 to 4.30 pm (shift pattern to be discussed). Experience working with the homeless and knowledge of welfare benefits are desirable as is skills in electronic recording. Drivers licence and own car is essential. Reporting to the Senior Housing Support Worker you will be providing housing related support to vulnerable homeless adults over the age of 25 both male and female. A key responsibility of the post will be recording and amending risk assessments centred around resettlement to general needs housing. As a provider of supported housing you will assist in all management functions such as recording rent, reporting repairs, client engagement, setting up rooms, maintaining high standards in dcor in communal areas, health and safety checks and purchasing supplies. Working with P3, Probation Service, Police, Housing and Benefit Services you are required to provide advice and guidance to customers to assist them with access to general needs housing and their successful reintegration back into the community. This is a varied and challenging role which is rewarding when performed well - you will be making a difference not only to individuals that you work with but the wider community.
