SF Recruitment are working with a business based in Walsall who are looking for a Business Development Manager to join the team c£55,000 Car Bonus (£65,000 - £95,000 OTE) The Job As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for expanding sales of commercial roofing contracts across a designated area of the Midlands Region, plus appropriate house accounts. This is very much a sales development/new client acquisition role. You will be spending a large portion of your time attending meetings and undertaking site surveys to on-board and develop new customer accounts and further develop some of our existing customer accounts. Key Responsibilities Lead Contact: Serve as the primary contact for new sales enquiries in the designated Region. Product Expertise: Develop a comprehensive understanding of our services and applications. Team Working: We will provide training, collaboration with joint sales visits, product design, demonstrations, and customer support. The manager will collaborate with internal marketing, sales and technical teams to ensure the best possible service to clients. Demand Creation: Generate territory growth in line with commercial targets. Consultative Sales: Use a consultative approach to analyse and solve customer problems, presenting tailored solution's. Report Writing: Writing Survey reports and quotations for clients. Customer Relationships: Build trusted advisor relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers. Innovation Support: Collaborate with the Company Management on new services design and innovation. Project Overview: Securing projects, oversee the delivery of services to the client's aspirations. Personal Qualities We are looking for a candidate with a genuinely demonstrable and strong track record in solution selling. Ideally, you will have experience in industrial roofing systems. Experience selling a technical product or application-based solution is preferred, though not essential as training is provided. Previous success selling direct into industry would be preferred. Key requirements include: Strong presentation, customer-facing, and influencing skills Excellent commercial acumen and problem-solving abilities Full valid UK driving license Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
