These roles play a pivotal role in driving performance and supporting the business with work volumes to ensure excellent customer service is delivered to our 8 million customers. This position is to cover the Chesterfield/Mansfield area. This is a crucial role to help drive forward performance and give our large teams the support they need in the field. The new Team Leader role will be one of ways to help improve the way we carry out our work. The introduction of 140 Team Leaders is a significant investment in our future. It will not only support our busy team managers, but also ensure we are getting the best value out of the work we do to improve service for our 8 million customers. The starting salary will be £41,459 until the training is successfully completed, rising to £46,110. Main Responsibilities Ensuring your teams adherence to Health and Safety regulations Efficient scheduling of work activities Collaboration with other teams to manage workload Driving team productivity and individual performance management Maintaining a full schedule of work for the team Ensure our people have the appropriate training and work authorisations to support a safe and productive working environment Respond quickly and professionally to customer complaints The Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate for this role will be an excellent communicator with a proven track record of managing teams, and will be experienced in being an escalation point for both the team and external customers. The ability to develop a good understanding of Health and Safety legislation, Electricity Safety, Quality and Continuity Regulations 2002 and Electricity at Work Regulations 1989 Organised, with strong problem solving and the ability to think and plan ahead Good communicator with the presence to build strong relationships with our customers An understanding of and the ability to effectively manage performance Knowledge of craft roles or the ability/willingness to quickly develop your understanding of these roles and the work activities in your team A NRSWA qualification or understanding of NRSWA legislation is desirable but full training can be provided. This role is subject to a satisfactory Barring Service, (DBS) check, depending on the role different levels of screening and vetting are required. Some roles require a triannual check.
