Salary: £45,230.18 (including the 35% holiday bonus)
Duration: Permanent
Working Hours: (day shift) Monday – Thursday 7am – 15.30pm
Fridays 7am – 12.30pm
OR 3-shift:
Earlies: Monday: 6.30am- 3pm Tuesday – Thursday: 7am – 3pm Friday: 7am – 12pm
Lates: Monday – Thursday: 3pm – 11pm, Friday: 12pm-5.30pm
Nights: Monday – Thursday: 11pm – 7am, Friday: 5.30pm – 11pm

Your Role:
As a Measurement Room Specialist, you'll be in Fords Quality Department, improving processes, contributing to new product launches, and working with diverse teams.

Key Responsibilities:
* Support the commissioning of new, state-of-the-art measurement equipment, ensuring accurate and efficient operation.
* Utilise your expertise in metrology and measurement principles to ensure the precision of internal and external purchased components, using advanced laboratory equipment.
* Contribute to the continuous improvement of measurement methods and processes, driving innovation and efficiency.
* Produce detailed measurement reports for components, ensuring clear communication of results and supporting data-driven decision-making.
* Assist with quality investigations, providing expert measurement support to resolve issues and maintain the highest standards of quality.
* Collaborate with a team of skilled engineers, technicians, and production personnel, working effectively as part of a team to achieve common goals.
The Ideal Candidate:
Qualifications: Completed a Mechanical/Electrical apprenticeship or an HNC/HND equivalent in a relevant subject.
Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of measurement principles, processes, and engineering drawings; background in metrology or metallurgy measurement preferred.
Skills: Proficient in computer applications, including Word and Excel, with strong communication abilities.
Workplace Competencies: Knowledge of 5S and workplace organization practices.
Teamwork: Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team while being self-motivated and flexible.
Personal Attributes: Adaptable, eager to learn, and able to work independently.
