About the Role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Associate Director of HR Operations to join a prestigious and dynamic academic institution. This senior leadership role offers the chance to manage HR operations at a large scale, leading a diverse team of 20+ professionals with varied expertise. You will be responsible for driving HR strategies that align with both departmental and broader institutional goals, ensuring high-quality, effective service delivery.
This role will involve managing complex HR operations, overseeing prioritisation, governance, and data-driven decision-making. As a key member of the leadership team, you will lead and inspire a diverse group, fostering collaboration and ensuring that HR functions align with the institution’s strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
* Leadership & Team Management: Lead and manage a large, diverse team of 20+ professionals, bringing together a wide range of skills and expertise. Ensure the team is well-coordinated and effective in meeting strategic goals.
* Strategic HR Delivery: Implement HR strategies that align with departmental and institutional priorities. Lead critical HR functions such as recruitment, staff development, compliance, and performance management.
* Prioritisation & Governance: Oversee key governance activities, ensuring policies and procedures are implemented correctly across all teams. Manage large-scale HR projects with attention to prioritisation and data-driven decision-making.
* HR Systems & Service Excellence: Oversee HR systems and structures, ensuring consistent, high-quality service delivery. Integrate institutional policies and ensure governance is adhered to across departments.
* Change Management & Policy Development: Lead change initiatives and policy development, guiding teams through transitions and ensuring the implementation of best practices.
* Collaboration: Work closely with senior leadership to ensure HR strategies align with broader institutional goals. Represent the HR function at senior meetings and foster collaboration across units and teams.
What We’re Looking For:
* Significant senior HR management experience, including managing large teams (20+ people) in complex environments.
* Proven ability to oversee prioritisation, strategic HR delivery, and governance in a large-scale setting.
* Strong skills in data governance, ensuring compliance and effective use of data within HR operations.
* Expertise in HR processes, including recruitment, performance management, and training development.
* Strong experience in HR strategy, policy development, and successful management of large projects.
* Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to present to and influence senior leadership teams.
* Organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
Salary & Benefits:
