Position: Senior Project Controls EngineerLocation: Wilton, UKContract: Long-term freelanceIR35 Status: Outside IR35Location:Wilton, RedcarTS10 4QY As a Senior Project Controls Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in managing performance information, ensuring governance, and driving project excellence in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. Key Responsibilities:Develop and submit validated weekly and monthly project reports for internal and external stakeholders.Ensure consistent application of project controls processes across the project.Govern and support robust cost and schedule performance.Conduct Earned Value Analysis (EVA) and ensure accurate Estimates at Completion (EAC) using industry-recognized methods.Propose and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).Define and support Project Controls procedures and standards.Develop requirements for resource-loaded schedules.Collaborate with Project Controls and Commercial Managers to optimize project delivery.Mentor and support junior team members.Identify and implement best practices, tools, and systems for project controls.Support risk and opportunity management processes.Assist in the preparation and delivery of training sessions.Provide guidance to contractors on project controls requirements and audit their procedures.Analyze and communicate implications of changes to the project baseline plan.Challenge schedule and cost variances against the baseline.Integrate third-party schedules into the overall project plan.Work closely with the commercial team to maintain alignment between financial positions and project plans.Qualifications & Experience:Education: HNC/HND in Engineering or equivalent relevant experience.Expertise:Proven project controls experience across cost, estimating, scheduling, programming, and risk tools.Proficiency in Earned Value Management (EVM).Skilled in cost control, forecasting, and project reporting.High numeracy skills and excellent analytical abilities.Experience in Change Management processes.Soft Skills:Effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.Ability to mentor and develop junior team members.
