Role: Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Either Bias)
Salary: £35,000 to £39,000 per annum, plus Paid Overtime or TOIL, Benefits and Career opportunities
Hours: Double Days - Monday to Friday
Location: Commutable from Kendal, Shap, Penrith, Helbeck, Garsdale, Settle, Bentham, Lancaster, Morecambe, Bowness-on-Windermere, Grasmere and surrounding areas
Company: We are currently recruiting a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to work within a large company at one of their successful production factories near Kendal. Responsibilities:
Maintenance Engineers will cover both electro-mechanical maintenance work across the factory and are encouraged and supported to develop their weaker side, whether mechanical or electrical.
Your primary role is to support all production machinery, which includes combating and resolving breakdowns and machinery problems, working through planned preventative maintenance, and undertaking project work such as new installations.
Requirements:
- Maintenance or Service Engineer background in any environment, ideally industrial, manufacturing, production or automated.
- Completed a recognised engineering apprenticeship or hold engineering qualifications at Level 3 or above (mechanical or electrical).
- Good maintenance and troubleshooting skills across some of the following: motors, belts, bearings, chains, gears, pumps, boilers, sensors, inverters, relays, contactors, 3 phase, PLCs, pneumatics, hydraulics, steam systems, etc.
- Multi-skilled across electrical & mechanical issues; either bias is welcome. Additional electronics skills, especially fault finding to component level, are very useful.
- Good troubleshooting & fault-finding skills.
- Friendly and adaptable with the ability to work well as part of a close-knit team.
- Proactive, self-starter work attitude and can be flexible with start & finish times when necessary.
- Ensure all activities are carried out in accordance with the Site Health and Safety instructions and the Health and Safety manual & relevant engineering standards.
