Vacancy - Accounts Assistant
My client has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join the finance team based at a beautiful office in the town of Tetbury. My client will consider both full time and part time applications.
The Role:
The successful candidate will support the Finance Manager in the day-to-day running of the finance department for both the sales and the purchase ledger, assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts and undertake other ad hoc duties within the finance team. You will have experience in the financial sector using Sage software and be competent in Outlook, Word and Excel. You will be meticulous, conscientious and have the ability to both multitask and use initiative to work to tight deadlines.
You will have:
• Incredible attention to accuracy and detail
• Good knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping procedures
• Familiarity with Sage software
• Excellent organisational skills
• Ability to work both independently and within a team
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Aptitude to be flexible and accommodating
• Able to work to tight deadlines and manage variable workload volumes
Responsibilities:
• Process and manage Sales and Purchase Ledger accounting transactions
• Creating and maintaining accurate customer and supplier records
• Weekly financial reporting
• Completing monthly bank reconciliations
• Preparing and entering monthly journal entries
• Credit Control
• Taking care of administrative tasks; correspondence and filing and including petty cash and staff expenses
• Support the Finance Manager with the timely reporting of monthly Management Accounts and month end processes
