About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced management accountant who is comfortable being the business contact lead in the subsidiary and will add value through the individual’s capability to collaborate relevant financial and non-financial information to aid in management decision making.
The post holder will be the first POC for day-to-day queries, assist and own delivery of the budget process, prepare the management accounts, assist and own the year-end audit, and provide high-quality information. As this role is based in South Petherton supporting the Altegra subsidiary, it’s incredibly important that this individual can work autonomously and is confident in supporting department heads. This role reports to the Group Financial Controller who will do site visits and support the individual remotely.
Responsibilities
1. Month end/year end processing
2. Management accounts to first draft for presentation
3. Budget tasks ownership
4. Audit tasks ownership
5. Misc reporting as required
6. Balance sheet reconciliations
7. Depot reporting packs
8. Business Partnering
Candidate Requirements
1. 5+ years finance experience
2. Studying/Qualified CIMA or other equivalent
3. Persuasive communication and interpersonal skills
4. Ability to troubleshoot effectively
5. Ability to prioritise tasks and work autonomously
6. Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
7. A high level of proficiency in Excel is a requirement to be successful in this role
8. Business Partnering capability – getting things done through others and being the Finance contact for the subsidiary.
