Priory Hospital Burgess Hill has a new and exciting opportunity for you to join our Team; in September 2023 we opened a third ward which is a 10 bedded male adult PICU.
The hospital is currently split across three units:
* EA - male psychiatric intensive care ward
* AJ - male psychiatric intensive care ward
* MS - acute general adult male-only ward
New members of our team have an exceptional opportunity to help shape the future of our services and a genuine chance to be part of transforming them. With a renewed focus on quality and excellence at its heart the service aims to grow and extend its current offering.
This is your chance to play an influential part in developing and improving the current services and to make a real and lasting difference to the lives of the people in our care.
The Services offered at Burgess Hill (Acute & PICU) are aimed at supporting stabilisation and recovery and affords the opportunity to offer a variety of Therapeutic Interventions aimed at developing coping strategies within one hospital environment.
The expertise provided enable us to support patients with a high level of risk and challenging behaviours including individuals with risk of violence and aggression, harm to self and trauma alongside people who may require a period of stabilisation transitioning from high dependency care or acute care, depending on diagnosis.
Our clinical programmes focus on:
* Working collaboratively with the discharge teams to ensure a smooth transition to further support, into existing community services, or to an individual's home where possible.
* Restore and maintain our patients' quality of life by providing the therapeutic approaches and coping strategies that are most appropriate.
* Building skills to increase independence to promote people stepping down to care in the least restrictive setting, appropriate to their health needs.
* Substance misuse and addictions treatment support.
There are ample opportunities within Priory Hospital Burgess Hill which is looking for nurses who want to be part of our journey to 'Outstanding' and who put patient care at the forefront of everything they do.
