Job Description Afterschool Club Deputy Manager – Level 3 Qualified Hourly Rate: From £13 Hours: Monday - Friday, 2:45 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. (Term Time Only) We are looking for an enthusiastic Afterschool Club Deputy Manager with a Level 3 qualification in Early Years to join our client’s team at one of their afterschool clubs in Maidenhead. Their clubs provide a reliable childcare solution for working parents, and they take pride in offering a fun and engaging environment that children love. Requirements: Level 3 qualification in Childcare (essential) Experience in childcare: Previous experience working in a nursery, afterschool club, or similar setting. Organizational Skills: Ability to plan, organize, and lead a variety of activities that cater to children’s needs and interests. Strong Communication: Excellent communication skills, both with children and adults, with the ability to engage children and build rapport with parents. Leadership: Experience in managing or supporting a team is desirable, as you’ll be assisting the manager in overseeing staff and daily operations. Safeguarding Knowledge: Understanding of safeguarding, EYFS, child protection, and health and safety standards. Lead Activities: Plan and lead a range of fun, theme-based activities inspired by the children’s interests, alongside sports and crafts, to foster creativity and physical activity. Promote Child Development: Ensure that all activities contribute to children’s social, emotional, and physical development in a safe and enjoyable setting. Ensure Child Safety: Monitor children at all times, adhering to safeguarding and health and safety policies, and maintain accurate records when necessary. Engage with Parents: Communicate effectively with parents, providing feedback on their child’s experience at the club and addressing any concerns. Team Support: Collaborate with and support other staff members to deliver high-quality care and fun experiences for children.
