Monarch Education is currently recruiting for an SEN Teacher in the Whitefield (M45) area to support secondary-aged pupils with special educational needs in their academic and social development. Hours: 08:30-15:30 Location: Whitefield (M45) Start Date: ASAP The School Monarch Education, on behalf of our client school, is seeking to appoint a highly motivated and enthusiastic SEN Teacher to join a team of professionals. The pupils are aged 11 to 19 years and have a diverse range of learning disabilities (PMLD, SLD, MLD, SEMH), combined with medical conditions, physical disabilities, visual impairment, hearing impairment, and/or autism. Successful candidates may be asked to work on the school or college site in one of five pathways (Thrive, Explore, Inspire, Specialist Provision, or Nurture), either on a 1:1 basis or as part of a class. The role is both physically and emotionally demanding and involves working with some pupils exhibiting challenging behaviour. You will be part of an excellent team and will receive extensive support. You will: Have experience and skills in working with pupils with a range of SEND and be passionate about helping all young people achieve their full potential Be an experienced teacher or looking to develop your expertise if you are an ECT Be able to demonstrate how your work has had a significant impact on pupils and how you have raised standards Have some knowledge of accreditation for young people with SEN Be able to demonstrate that you can work as part of a team and lead a team of teaching assistants in the classroom Be able to demonstrate outstanding classroom practice Have excellent interpersonal and organisational skills and be a team player Have a strong commitment to innovative curriculum development, ensuring it is accessible to pupils with learning difficulties and makes learning fun The teacher will be expected to demonstrate competency in using a range of teaching strategies to engage and develop pupils' understanding, ensuring they reach their full potential.
