A fantastic role has come up with my Gloucester-based client, a global engineering business. They are looking for a Quality Engineer to join their skilled team. The successful candidate will monitor, assess, and report on the quality of products and processes, ensuring manufacturing processes are performed correctly and in line with required standards and specifications.
Key Responsibilities – Quality Engineer
* Improve compliance and quality of products/services.
* Monitor, test, and report on product and process quality, identifying non-conformances and improvement opportunities.
* Review, improve, design, and implement standard operating procedures to meet specifications and customer expectations.
* Conduct root cause analysis, problem solving, and implement corrective actions.
* Propose and deliver solutions for improvement opportunities.
* Support deployment of Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
* Ensure timely closure of NCRs with stakeholders.
* Promote Zero Non-conformance and Right First Time culture.
* Conduct internal and external quality and compliance audits.
* Enhance customer satisfaction and improve Business Unit KPIs.
* Provide timely quality data and reports.
* Maintain relevant quality documentation.
* Raise corrective action requests and ensure their closure.
Qualifications & Requirements – Quality Engineer
* Minimum HNC in Quality or Manufacturing Engineering.
* Minimum Quality Management Diploma.
* Training in Root Cause Analysis techniques.
* Certified Internal Auditor.
* In-depth knowledge of ISO 9001.
Experience
* Ability to interpret engineering drawings and customer specifications.
* Structured, data-driven problem-solving skills.
* Experience with Lean and/or Six Sigma methodologies is beneficial.
* Experience with Quality Management Systems (QMS).
* Proficiency in measurement, analysis, and continuous improvement tools.
* Root Cause and Corrective Action expertise.
* Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
* Minimum one year of related experience or training.
