SEN Teaching Assistant - Complex Needs
Prospero Teaching are seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a school we are working with in Bilston, Wolverhampton.
The school are looking for someone who specialises in specialising in supporting students with complex needs.
In this vital role, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of our students by providing tailored support that fosters their learning, development, and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
· Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with complex needs, ensuring their individual educational plans (IEPs) are effectively implemented.
· Assist teachers in creating an inclusive classroom environment that promotes engagement and participation for all students.
· Support the personal care and mobility needs of students as required, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the school day.
· Monitor student progress and behavior, providing feedback to teachers and parents as necessary.
· Facilitate communication between students, staff, and families to promote understanding and collaboration.
· Encourage social interaction among students to help build confidence and independence.
· Participate in training sessions to enhance your skills in supporting children with special educational needs.
· Contribute positively to the school community by fostering a nurturing environment for all learners.

Qualifications & Skills:
· A genuine passion for working with children with special educational needs.
· Experience or training in supporting individuals with complex needs is highly desirable.
· Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with students, parents, and staff.
· The ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being proactive in individual responsibilities.
· A patient, empathetic approach that encourages positive relationships with students.
· A relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification) is preferred but not essential if you possess relevant experience or skills.
