Region NCE > SBU NCE Service > Service North - Service Operations Support
You will become a part of Vestas North and Central Europe, which is a sales business unit covering Scandinavia, UK, Ireland, Poland, the Baltics, Germany, Benelux as well as Eastern Europe and south of Africa. We are responsible for sales functions, project, installation, and service of wind farms throughout these regions. We aim to be a top-quality business unit within Vestas and we aim to make Vestas North and Central Europe the best place to work.
You will be joining Service Operations Support in NCE North as manager of the Special Task Fiber and Blades team. We act as regional partner, with the objective of handling all activities in ordering, onboarding, completion and governance of all blade and fiber repair in our area.
Responsibilities
* The Manager of Special Task Blades & Fiber is responsible for the development and implementation of the strategic initiatives for the department as well as delivering to the overall strategy for service region
* Responsibility for developing the Special Task Blades & Fiber to meet the requirements of a ever-changing and growing business
* Ensure Vestas HSE policies are effectively implemented and managed at each site of responsibility for both own staff as well as subcontractors
* Oversee and manage all direct reports and subcontractors to optimize performance and profitability
* Develop budgets and monitor expenditure against budget and ensure cost control practices are implemented and executed and continuously monitor the operational performance in own area
* Ensure your team delivers to the Vestas requirements and reaches milestones
* Ensure your team creates a cost-efficient work plan based on contractual obligations and promises to customers, while applying an optimal use/balancing of own resources and subcontractors across the service region
Qualifications
* Previous experience as a Manager/Supervisor within an industrial / engineering environment in a field-based position within power generation industry or associated with large complex industrial machinery and equipment
* Computer literate, able to use MS Office and in-house database and workload management systems
* Proficient skillset and attention to detail
* Able to prioritise own workload and deliver on time and in full
* Solution-focused and initiative-driven mentality with effective interpersonal skills
* Willing to travel on regular basis, including nights away from home
* Leads by example, able to motivate others and continuously seek technical and performance improvements
Competencies
* Acts as a role model, encouraging collective efforts towards continuous technical and performance progress
* Role model with a Safety and Compliance mindset
* Technical background and relevant technical training level
* High level of readiness to change and the ability to work effectively in demanding situations
* Good communications skills
* Time management skills
* Good IT skills, MS Office, SAP and Salesforce
