Scaffolding Estimator and Business Development Manager
A well-established company is seeking a Scaffolding Estimator with previous experience in a similar role, in-depth knowledge of the scaffold industry, and excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.

Office-based with regular travel required to client sites throughout the North West region.

JOB OVERVIEW
We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Scaffolding Estimator. As the Scaffolding Estimator, you will cover the North West Region, preparing quotations, estimates, and proposals to gain early involvement in projects. You will help develop and implement sales strategies aligned to the business model by targeting key prospects and winning new contracts.
DUTIES
1. Identifying and targeting prospective opportunities/customers
2. Pricing and preparing new tenders, ensuring adequate follow-up to maximise the secure rate of targeted opportunities
3. Building relationships with clients old and new
4. Interpreting specifications, schedules, and scopes of works to produce competitive solutions in line with customer requirements
5. Reading and scaling building drawings to ensure customer requirements are met and where possible exceeded
6. Securing works for the operations team
7. Attending negotiations and pre-start handover meetings
8. Preparing Handover packs for secured tenders including labour spends for the operations team
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
1. Experienced scaffolding estimator with an in-depth knowledge of the scaffolding industry and previous scaffold estimating experience
2. Ability to interpret specifications, schedules, and scopes of works
3. Commercially aware with the ability to interpret terms and conditions of customer enquiries
4. Experienced in reading and scaling building drawings
5. Experienced in pricing and preparing tender enquiries
6. Experience in Smart Scaffolder would be preferable
7. Excellent written and communication skills
8. Negotiation and influencing skills
9. Excellent IT and literacy skills, experienced in using Microsoft Office (Excel/Word/Teams/Outlook/SharePoint)
10. Self-organisation and attention to detail
11. Client-friendly
12. Full clean UK driving license
