Commissioning Technician Norwich What you will be doing: An opportunity has arisen for a Commissioning Technician to join the team at Lintott, a Galliford Try business. As directed by the associated work planner / manager, undertake site installation, commissioning, training, hand-over, start-up and repair / diagnostic activities. Liaise with internal and external stakeholders during the course of your duties in order to satisfy projects needs and deliver stakeholder satisfaction. Issues to communicate include, but are not limited to time, commercial, technical, functional, safety & quality matters. Advise stakeholders of any potential problems at the earliest opportunity. Review all the relevant documentation contained in the ‘Commissioning Pack’ – including, but not limited to: The Functional Design Specification (FDS); Test Plan (where applicable); Input / Output Schedule; System Architecture, and Software Application Revision. Ensure that you are sufficiently briefed of the requirements, and where possible, validate accuracy of the information supplies. Fully and accurately complete all relevant documentation in line with Company procedures and the requirements of the Project / customer. Complete test certificates, as commissioned documentation and fault sheets relating to each contract. Maintain a ‘site diary’ detailing activities and key events during the course of your activities. Share the diary with your work planner / manager as required. Where testing is applicable (such as Site Acceptance Tests), ensure that this is undertaken diligently, safely and in accordance with agreed procedures and schedule. Investigate any non-compliance and repair (if possible) and / or liaise with the respective department (such as Systems Integration Team) to remedy any faults identified. About You: Experience in the field of testing / commissioning of PLC / HMI / SCADA System Hardware and Software are essential. This will include the knowledge of the various communication PLC / HMI / SCADA protocols and an understanding of PLC / HMI / SCADA testing techniques and methods. Ability to interpret electrical drawing and excellent fault diagnostic skills. Excellent hands-on craft skills. Commercial awareness. Health and Safety awareness Experience within the Automotive, Food and Beverage and / or Water and Waste industries. Mechanical skills and understanding. Official / prior certifications, such as NICEIC.
