What you will do:
* Implement positive change in complex cases using systemic social work methods, leading to greater independence and risk minimization for children, families, and carers.
* Lead and oversee professional judgements within relevant legal and policy frameworks.
* Conduct and advise on comprehensive assessments, support planning, and review processes.
* Develop collaborative, robust relationships with partner agencies to ensure protection and care for children.
* Act as the lead professional in complex statutory cases, particularly those involving child protection and care proceedings.
* Devise in-depth assessments and care plans, contributing to positive changes in lives through relationship-based work.
* Prepare applications and reports for court, representing the Council, and make informed recommendations.
* Maintain detailed knowledge of legislation and departmental procedures.
* Participate in supervision, appraisals, and case reflection discussions.
* Recognize and act on safeguarding concerns, contributing to effective responses.
* Manage and analyse complex information, producing high-quality reports and contributing to complaint resolutions.
* Prepare and present complex information across various settings and formats.
* Undertake complex projects and tasks as required, maintaining flexibility and adaptability in responsibilities.
* Model exceptional practice and provide mentorship, promoting good race, ethnic, and community relations.
