About the Opportunity:
As EDI Events and Initiatives Manager, you will play a key role in delivering Arden University’s commitment to Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI). Working as part of the EDI Team, you will manage the end-to-end planning, execution, and evaluation of a calendar of EDI events for both staff and students. These events promote inclusion, engagement, and support for our diverse university community, taking place across our campuses and online.
These events require extensive planning, coordination, and administration, including liaising with speakers and stakeholders, booking venues, managing communications, and overseeing logistics to ensure successful delivery.
In addition to event management, you will also support the administrative coordination of key initiatives, such as the Student Inclusion Panel, EDI Interns Programme, and EDI Curriculum Review. This will involve liaising with stakeholders, coordinating communications, and ensuring the smooth running of these impactful initiatives.
This is an exciting opportunity to lead and shape EDI events and initiatives, ensuring they are well-organised, engaging, and continue to make a meaningful impact.
About You:
We are looking for a highly organised and detail-oriented individual with:
* A proven track record of successfully planning, managing, and evaluating complex events, both in person and online.
* Experience in organising inclusive events, ensuring accessibility for participants with disabilities or complex needs.
* Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build relationships and understand the needs of varied stakeholders.
* Experience of sourcing suppliers, and managing quotes, purchase orders and invoices.
* A solid understanding of and commitment to Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) principles.
