Full – Time Mathematics Teacher – Basingstoke, Hampshire GSL Education are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Maths Teacher to join a secondary school in Basingstoke. This full-time role offers an opportunity to inspire and challenge students to achieve their full potential in mathematics. The position has a flexible start date, with options to begin in February/Easter 2025, or as soon as notice periods allow and pay rate is £30k to £50k per year from ECT through to upper pay scale. A permanent contract will be offered following a successful probationary period. Role: As a Maths Teacher, you will inspire and challenge students to excel in Mathematics. You will deliver engaging lessons, develop critical thinking, and foster a love for problem-solving in a supportive and dynamic learning environment. Responsibilities of the Maths Teacher : Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and comprehensive Maths lessons for Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students. Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to enhance learning outcomes. Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where every student feels supported and valued. Implement strategies to cater to varying learning styles and abilities. Contribute to the development of the Maths curriculum and share best practices with colleagues. Participate in school initiatives, events, and activities that promote the holistic development of students. Requirements of the Maths Teacher : Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification. Specialism in Mathematics with a strong understanding of the national curriculum. Ability to inspire and engage students of all abilities. Effective classroom management skills and a positive approach to challenges. Strong communication and organisational skills. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. Have an updated CV and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
