This role supports the day-to-day financial management of Terumo BCT Ltd. across two sites in Larne. Acting as a close business partner, you will provide timely support, guidance, and business analytics to enable more rounded actions and to support continuous improvement and operational excellence across Operations, R&D, Commercial & Projects. You will report to the Assistant Controller in Larne.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Accounting and Control
1. Responsible for Sales reporting across the total legal entity, working in tandem with Commercial in supporting the SIOP process, including ownership of revenue recognition on projects across our R&D division.
2. Support Payroll process, ensuring robust process controls within our current outsourced models, and ownership of accurate payroll accounting within the monthly reporting cycle.
3. Responsible for EC Sales & Intrastat submissions for the legal entity.
4. Ensure the integrity and accuracy of the accounting and financial reporting of Terumo BCT Ltd., including statutory financial reporting and audits by Chartered Accountants and internal auditors.
5. Support cross-functional efforts with Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Quality, HR, and others to drive efficiency and effectiveness through LEAN processes and maximum utilization of data and software tools.
6. Maintain relationships with colleagues in Terumo and explore and share best practices while working jointly on SAP system and other process improvements.
7. Ownership of continuous development across finance, particularly supporting supply chain across vendor management, material master management & inventory reconciliation (related to projects) across two factories.
8. Provide back-up/ad-hoc support on Banking & AP management during busy/holiday periods.
Financial Planning and Analysis
1. Support R&D Projects related to contract manufacturing, ensuring robust controls from cradle to grave and identifying mitigations against margin erosion.
2. Responsible for the distribution of daily metrics of the site and support the Finance department with any ad-hoc business analytics.
3. Manage the accounting treatment on projects across the company, ensuring compliance with IFRS 15.
4. Support the management & gathering of business analytics across Operations, assisting leaders in measuring against standards across financial and non-financial benchmarks.
5. Assist in creating rolling monthly forecasts of manufacturing plant variance to achieve robust process and build forecast accuracy.
6. Ensure timely cost center reviews with owners.
7. Ownership of designated areas (including Sales, Inventory, Capital Expenditure) to ensure reporting deadlines are met in a compliant manner.
8. Support the Assistant Controller in the annual budget process for factory operations and supporting functions.
9. Act as a business partner to the Commercial Director to drive the reporting cycle across revenue & standard margin.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Education
Experience
1. Minimum 4 years of experience in a financial role.
2. Experience with financial management in manufacturing or project accounting on long-term contracts preferred.
3. Experience with financial statement preparation and related audits for statutory reporting highly preferred.
4. Experience with SAP as an ERP system is preferable.
Skills
1. Strong understanding and experience in general accounting and impacts on manufacturing operations.
2. Knowledge of accounting requirements and practices generated by statutory or reporting standards.
3. Proven ability to drive process change resulting in LEAN efficiency.
4. Ability to handle confidential material professionally.
5. Ability to work cross-functionally in a collaborative environment.
6. Ability to independently set and accomplish objectives and prioritize responsibilities.
7. Experience with SAP or similar ERP system in manufacturing and financial settings strongly preferred.
8. Knowledge of Microsoft applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI).
9. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Chartered Accountant and/or Certified Management Accountant designation preferred, or equivalent competency level may be considered.
