As a pivotal Quality Manager at Morgan Ryder, you will lead quality excellence in a leading manufacturing business in Lancaster. Your role will involve driving quality strategy and compliance across production to ensure top-tier product standards and operational efficiency.
You will collaborate with the CEO and Operations team to align quality strategies with business objectives. Your responsibilities will include overseeing quality control and compliance functions, from raw material testing to finished product quality assurance.
Key Responsibilities:
* Strategic Quality Management: Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, eliminate complaints, cut waste, and boost productivity.
* Quality Control Process Development: Assess and refine quality processes, implementing in-process checks and robust training plans to ensure consistent standards.
* Production Monitoring: Partner with the operations team to troubleshoot issues, support quality engineering, and uphold compliance throughout production.
* Compliance Oversight: Ensure site compliance with ISO9001 and ISO14001 standards while conducting regular quality and environmental audits.
* Data Analysis & Reporting: Use data to drive insights, integrate quality reporting, and manage the quality budget to support strategic goals.
* Customer and Supplier Engagement: Manage supplier quality performance, resolve issues, and address customer complaints with timely feedback and corrective actions.
* Leadership: Guide and develop the quality team, set performance metrics, and foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
The ideal candidate for this permanent, full-time position has experience in a quality and compliance role with management experience. They should have proven success in implementing quality control processes within a manufacturing environment and possess strong analytical, project management, and leadership skills.
