People Transformation Business Analyst - FTC or Day Rate until Dec 2025
Reporting to the People Transformation Programme Manager
London based - min 2 days in the office per week
We are looking for a skilled process BA who has worked on complex People (HR) transformation programmes to play a pivotal role in the detailed design and implementation of the new People Target Operating Model.
The Role
Hiscox is a dynamic and innovative organisation. We are on an exciting journey to implement a new People Target Operating Model for our People Function. The People function is going through a significant transformation change which will see a transition to strategic business partnering, supported by Communities of Expertise and an increasingly digitised People Operations team.
This change will result in a complete transformation of how Hiscox employees and managers interact with the People function, with a shift to direct access to People tools and processes, and therefore a huge focus will be required to upskill managers to use technology and self-serve.
The purpose of this role is to support the transformation through detailed mapping and analysis current state business processes and defining future state business processes including driving optimisation interventions and implementation ensuring that the business understands and adopts new People processes and technology and is ready for a brand-new way of working to support their employees through their careers at Hiscox.
Key Responsibilities
TOM analysis, design and implementation
* Working with the Client-facing business partnering teams, Centres or Excellence, People Operations, People Technology, business users and other stakeholders' teams to understand and document as-is processes.
* Analysing existing processes data to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
* Working closely with work stream leads to elicit business requirements and objectives for the new People TOM.
* Working with all workstream leads to capture and document all "to be" related documentation and ways or working.
* Capturing and designing the tracking of Transformation KPI's.
* Working with the COE and People Operations, third party providers to help design and deliver processes which enable employee and line manager self-service, that are intuitive/consumer grade, with improved automation, and aligned with the People technology strategy of Workday first.
* Analysing People Function data and metrics to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for process enhancement.
* Developing data-driven insights to support decision-making and process optimisation.
* Developing and maintain process models, workflow diagrams, and documentation to illustrate as-is and to-be states.
* Collaborating with technical teams to ensure alignment with system development and integration.
Transition and Change
* Support in the transition of all workstreams to their future state operating models.
* Assist in creating change management plans and communication strategies to ensure a smooth transition to the new Target Operating Model.
Project Management
* Assist in project planning, tracking milestones, and reporting on progress to ensure successful implementation.
* Identify potential risks and mitigation strategies.
Skills/ Qualifications/ Experience required
* Proven experience as a Business Analyst working on complex HR transformations.
* Strong understanding of HR process taxonomies.
* Track record of delivering complex process optimisation projects.
* Project management experience is essential.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Experience of process design, process improvement, workflow and process map development (MSP, Visio etc).
* Familiarity with Agile, SCRUM, Lean Six sigma - green belt or better a plus.
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
* Intellectually curious, high energy, and strong work ethic, Able to navigate ambiguous situations, identify and solve for blockers with minimal guidance, know how to build cross-organisational partnership.
