And if that’s you we would love to have you join us Job Description A Technology Consultant is a critical role in Rockwell Automations sales cycle supporting the presales activities of Rockwell Automation Account Managers and Rockwell Automation channel partners, providing the technical value proposition to create solutions to Rockwell Automation customers. As a Technology Consultant you will provide technical pre-sales support for Rockwell Automation Software & Control products and solutions in the UK & Ireland. You'll work with Rockwell Automation Account Managers supporting their business development activities, expanding the Rockwell Automation technology footprint and revenue through increased customer adoption of Rockwell Automation technologies. You will be reporting to the Product Business Manager and based in UK. Your responsibilities - what you will do: Work with Rockwell Automation Account Managers supporting their business development activities providing Rockwell Automation technology and solution understanding of customer requirements. Expand the Rockwell Automation technology footprint and revenue through increased customer adoption of Rockwell Automation technologies. Promote the Rockwell Automation technology and solution portfolio to our customers with presentations, demonstrations, proof of concepts, introductory, and innovation workshops, as a Domain Expert in Industrial Automation, Networks, Visualizations, and Information Software. Provide a high level of support to the Rockwell Automation channel partners, assisting with product launches, promotional activity and events. Deliver internal competency coaching to sales teams and to other product specialists. The essential - you will have: Engineering / Technical Degree or equivalent Full UK Driving License (preferably clean) Knowledge of manufacturing and production systems Use coding languages 3 years of experience establishing communication and engagement with prospects Ability to be away from home for short periods occasionally. The preferred – you might also have: Microsoft or Cisco, or equivalent, Qualification, and or, experience with Business Information Software and IT security strategies and methods Experience in engineering / deploying Business Intelligence applications (MES, Historian, Analytics, OEE) Experience in deploying Cloud and Edge platforms. Experience in a customer facing Engineering Sales or related Solution selling or business development environment. Awareness of Industrial Engineering, Safety, and Security standards related to automated manufacturing and software systems.
