The company is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Management Accountant to join their finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting in the preparation of monthly management accounts, budgeting, and forecasting. You will play a key part in the financial reporting process, ensuring accuracy and providing valuable financial insights to support business decision-making. Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare journal entries for month-end (accruals, prepayments, deferments, etc.)
* Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations.
* Manage monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
* Conduct monthly expenses and overheads analysis.
* Analyse and reconcile credit card expenses.
* Manage deferred revenue reconciliation.
* Handle intercompany transactions and recharges.
* Prepare cash flow forecasts.
* Assist in the preparation of the monthly Management Accounts Pack.
* Provide financial analysis and support for business functions.
* Liaise with non-financial stakeholders to provide financial insights and guidance.
* Assist with any other ad-hoc financial tasks and reports as required.
The Ideal Candidate:
This role would suit an ambitious and driven individual with a solid foundation in management accounting. The ideal candidate will be keen to learn, develop their skills, and take on new challenges in a fast-paced environment.
Key Requirements:
* AAT qualified (or working towards ACCA or CIMA qualifications)
* Some experience in management accounting or a similar financial role.
* Good understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
* Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Proficient in preparing journal entries, bank reconciliations, and balance sheet reconciliations.
* Good communication skills with the ability to work with non-financial stakeholders.
* Strong IT skills, particularly with Excel and accounting software.
* Proactive and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
