My client is also looking for an HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic for the same site paying £16.00ph - £20.50ph depending on your skills. Hours are also flexible for this role.
My client, a large group who operate a few busy workshops, are looking for an experienced HGV Master Technician / HGV Technician / Commercial Vehicle Master Technician / Master Technician / Fleet Engineer / LGV Technician / Heavy Vehicle Technician to join their site near Stonehouse.
The HGV Master Technician will be paid £20.00 - £24.00ph and flexible working hours or shifts. The HGV Technician needed for the site will be paid £16.00 - £20.50ph depending on skills, also flexible shifts / hours available.
Job purpose of the HGV Master Technician / HGV Technician / Commercial Vehicle Master Technician / Master Technician / Fleet Engineer / LGV Technician / Heavy Vehicle Technician / HGV Mechanic:
Reporting to the Workshop Manager, you will support the Transport Workshop in completing a high standard of repair, on a range of specialist commercial vehicles, including Trailers, bin lorries, skips lorries, tippers. You will be playing a lead role in the training and development of workshop technicians.
Duties and Responsibilities of the HGV Master Technician / HGV Technician / Commercial Vehicle Master Technician / Master Technician / Fleet Engineer / LGV Technician / Heavy Vehicle Technician / HGV Mechanic:
* Diagnostics, fault finding and repair of vehicle electrical systems
* Undertake timely repairs of HGVs in accordance with manufacturer technical standards and timeframes.
* Offer Technical advice to workshop technicians with a strong focus on training & development.
* Identify & diagnose defects on vehicles and ancillary equipment, including mechanical and electrical issues.
* Carry out 6 weekly inspections to a high standard, ensuring all defects are identified and repaired, with a strong focus on ‘first time fix’.
* Inspect and prepare vehicles for MOT, ensuring all vehicles exceed the standard required.
* Carry out electrical repairs on a range of specialist commercial vehicles.
* Repair ‘damage’ defects to a high standard with a focus on upholding our brand image.
Experience / Qualifications / Skills for the HGV Master Technician / HGV Technician / Commercial Vehicle Master Technician / Master Technician / Fleet Engineer / LGV Technician / Heavy Vehicle Technician / HGV Mechanic:
* NVQ level 3 qualification relating to commercial vehicle repairs (Desirable)
* Minimum of 3 years experience working in a commercial vehicle environment (Essential)
* Ability to read and understand electrical wiring diagrams (Essential)
