What will this role entail? We’re looking for a Financial Analyst to join the team in Europe to primarily focus on our Social Infrastructure Real Asset Strategies. This role is ideally suited for someone who has specialized knowledge in IFRS and ideally direct real estate investment. You’ll provide support to the Financial Controller and Financial Oversight Manager, based in London and Luxembourg respectively. You could be a current real estate accountant or someone who has a few years’ experience in a role with a transferable skill set and a desire to learn the specifics of the real estate and infrastructure sectors. The ideal candidate will have a strong IFRS/accounting background, be self-motivated and a team player What are the primary responsibilities of the Financial Analyst? Budget and Forecasting Ownership of annual budgeting process and quarterly rolling forecasts; liaising with department heads to obtain expenditure estimates and commentary against actual expenditure. Along with presentation of quarterly budget vs actuals. Reviewing invoice log maintained by third party administrator and monitoring expenses and accruals during the year. Payments Key contact for daily banking relationships; call-backs, bank administration and prepare of biweekly payment runs. Monitoring of bank accounts and cash positions across all SPV’s and the Fund and doing working capital calculations on these to support liquidity management. Accounting and reporting Audit support: provision of taxation and expense related accounting information to external auditors, assistance in gathering documentation requested by auditors and depository at year-end, review of financial statements at Fund and SPV level under IFRS and LUX GAAP respectively. Review of and action on correspondence received from the corporate secretary. Tax Ownership of the tax compliance calendar - ensuring that all VAT, CIT and local tax deadlines are logged, tracked and met by third party tax advisors across multiple jurisdictions. Including weekly reviews with CFO of deadlines and status of returns. Oversight and monitoring of the tax data room - ensuring all local accountants correctly upload all financial information required by third party tax advisors by jurisdiction. Maintenance of tax filing records; corporation tax, VAT tax and local tax filings. Qualifications, Skills and Experience Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education (finance or accounting degree preferred) 3 years of relevant experience in finance, accounting and/or taxation Ability to work independently and manage your own tasks with limited supervision Good written and verbal communication skills Highly motivated; ability to multi-task Fluency in both spoken and written English.
