We have an opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician to join their team of staff in the Pharmacy Department. An informal visit can be arranged prior to the interview. This is a full-time role for hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern.
Your new role
1. To support the delivery of an excellent clinical, operational and finance-based medicine management service.
2. To procure & receipt medicines for the hospital.
3. Top up and distribute medicines to all areas of the hospital in conjunction with the pharmacy team.
4. Stock management of medicine within the hospital.
5. Provide a dispensing service for medicines that may be required.
6. Ensure accurate and timely charging.
What you'll need to succeed
1. I must be registered as a pharmacy technician on the General Pharmaceutical Council register.
2. Knowledge of General Pharmaceutical Council Codes of Professional Conduct, Ethics and Performance and their implications for practice.
3. Maths, English GCSE at grades A to C or equivalent functional skills level 2 evidence.
4. Proficient in the use of a PC, including the use of software and systems.
5. Experience of ordering and dispensing medicine.
6. ACT (Accuracy Checking Technician).
