Key Responsibilities:
1. Management of assigned customer accounts, gathering and creating export shipping documents, and organising assigned transport methods.
2. Processing sales orders from receipt to despatch, including maintaining procedures for specific customers.
3. Liaising with freight forwarders and carriers as necessary.
4. Working closely with manufacturing and purchasing to ensure customer delivery requirements are met.
5. Informing the manager of any problems that may adversely affect tasks or customer expectations and service levels.
6. Maintaining up-to-date and organised files.
7. Answering telephone enquiries within the business.
8. Handling general enquiries within the department.
9. Releasing parts in the system, setting retail prices, and assigning lead times.
10. Conforming with all company rules and policies, including Health and Safety, Security, and Disciplinary Procedures.
11. Processing customs paperwork as required (e.g., EUR1, ATRs, and Country of Origin certification).
12. Offering job flexibility and working additional hours to meet the needs of the business while supporting colleagues.
Job Requirements:
1. A proven track record in shipping, distribution, and leadership.
2. Experience in the marine industry, preferably dealing with OEMs and marine products.
3. Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics - D365.
4. Proficient in using Excel and PowerPoint.
5. Excellent communication skills and a passion for winning.
6. Team player with the character, competency, and ability to connect with team members to drive successful outcomes.
Targets:
1. Ensure timely and efficient processing of all sales orders.
2. Respond to all enquiries within one working day of receipt.
3. Support the department in exceeding targets for all customers.
4. Achieve a high level of organisation with all documentation control and internal/external communications.
5. Meet or exceed the standard expectations in appearance, work ethics, teamwork, timekeeping, and all communications.
6. Maintain your work area in exemplary condition.
Rates & Hours:
1. 37.5 hour week (Monday - Thursday, Friday).
2. 25 days per holiday plus Bank Holidays (may be required to work Bank holidays if month end).
3. Approx. £25,000 salary.
