We are actively recruiting for a new job opportunity with an accountancy firm in Milton Keynes, who are seeking a Bookkeeper to join their team. The salary is negotiable and will depend on experience and qualification level.
The job can be available with hybrid working and can be flexible, available on either full-time or part-time hours, depending on your preference.
Responsibilities:
1. Recording financial transactions on a day-to-day basis;
2. Reconciling balance sheet ledgers;
3. Posting monthly journals (payroll, accruals, prepayments, etc);
4. Reviewing debtors and creditors, and investigating differences;
5. Preparing and submitting VAT returns through MTD;
6. Providing VAT advice to clients;
7. Managing a varied portfolio of clients;
8. Assisting managers with any ad hoc project work required by clients;
9. Producing records up to trial balance;
10. Supporting other team members with queries and training.
11. Utilising various accounting systems including Xero, Dext, Sage and IRIS.
