Due to continued growth, our client is looking to employ a personable and motivated Technical Support Engineer to take control of the service function and to manage the external service providers.
Responsibilities:
* Support Sales team, external engineers, and customers with product information and technical support.
* Attend customer sites to repair product in the field.
* Train external service engineers as and when required.
* Retro-fit equipment to fulfill customer orders.
* Source, catalogue, and update the technical information held within the central system to ensure that as queries are answered, the information is easily accessible for all in the future.
* Ensure that correct documentation is submitted to the warehouse for any parts used during work carried out.
Qualifications:
To be successful in the role of Technical Support Engineer, we would like to speak to anyone who has experience in the following:
* Excellent telephone manner and the ability to build a good rapport with a wide range of customers.
* Able to work calmly under pressure and to deal competently and empathetically with others who may be angry or experiencing frustrating circumstances.
* Competent IT skills, able to use Word and Excel and other software as required. The ability to type at reasonable speed whilst speaking to customers on the phone is essential.
* Knowledge of CAD systems and HTML is advantageous.
* Ability to understand and retain product information.
