Job ref: WL061224 Job type: Permanent Location: Newry Closing date: Friday 20 Dec 2024 17:00 As Warehouse Lead you will play a critical role in overseeing the efficient and effective operation of Norbrook's global warehouse facilities. Your responsibilities will include managing inventory, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, implementing safety protocols and optimizing logistics processes to support the distribution of pharmaceutical products. Main Activities/Tasks Lead and motivate the global warehouse team, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance and adherence to standards. Conduct regular training sessions to enhance the skills and knowledge of warehouse personnel. Foster a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement within the global warehouse team. Oversee day-to-day operations of the warehouses, including the receipt, storage, dispatch and final mile delivery of pharmaceutical materials, components and finished products. Ensuring Financial budgets are delivered without impacting service level Develop and implement efficient warehouse processes to maximize efficiency and OTIF and minimize errors. Monitor rack utilisation and coordinate with Procurement to ensure appropriate stock levels are maintained. Utilize technology to manage inventory, track product movement and maintain accurate inventory records. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and promote a culture of safety awareness among the global warehouse team. Identify potential risks and hazards within the warehouse environment and develop mitigation strategies to minimize their impact. Champion and drive forward Supply Chain's CI safety projects, with particular focus on chemical and forklift safety. Chair the monthly Supply Chain EHS performance review. Deputise for the Supply Chain Lead at the monthly EHS Council as required. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines governing pharmaceutical warehousing and final mile logistics, including Good Distribution Practice (GDP) and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP). Implement and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements. Coordinate, through Norbrook QA, with regulatory agencies for inspections and audits and address any compliance issues identified. Implement quality control measures to ensure the integrity and safety of pharmaceutical products throughout the warehouse process. Conduct regular inspections of the warehouse facilities to identify and address any quality or safety concerns. Investigate and resolve any discrepancies or non-conformances related to product quality or integrity. Deputise for the Supply Chain Lead at the monthly Quality Council as required. Utilise modern technology and innovation to drive improvements were appropriate. Optimize warehouse layout and storage systems to maximize space utilization and the operational efficiencies of the Company's warehouses. Analyse data and metrics to identify opportunities for process improvement and cost savings within the logistics function. Essential Criteria: 5 years' experience in the pharmaceutical industry and/or 3 years within a supervisory role. At least 3 years' experience managing a team. Experience working within a GDP warehouse environment. Experience working within a GMP environment. Proficient in Microsoft Office including but not limited to Office, Excel and PowerPoint.
