Job overview
· To manage own caseload of patients and work with the other staff to deliver the service required.
· To implement, evaluate, and modify highly complex care/interventions.
· As part of the multi-disciplinary team, to participate in urgent cover provision of the clinical workload of the team e.g. during annual leave.
· To lead development and implementation of evidence-based protocols and standards of care.
· To provide supervision of student(s) on clinical placement and other members of the Dietetic team.
· Post holder may be eligible to undertake and work towards successful completion of the MSc Advanced Practice (AP) programme, at a Higher Education Institute (HEI), as part of this development.

* To work in secondary care in a variety of hospital settings and the patient’s own homes.
* To demonstrate as appropriate to role highly developed physical skills for assessment and treatment of patients e.g. dexterity, coordination, palpatory and other senses.
* To deputise for senior staff in leading specific teams.
* The Advanced Clinician will take high-level responsibility for the triage, clinical assessment, and diagnosis of complex health and wellbeing needs within a defined sphere of practice. They will implement, evaluate, and modify highly complex care/interventions which they have developed to meet those needs.

* Relevant Professional Registration i.e., degree in Nutrition and Dietetics
* HCPC registration
* Student Assessment Skills
* Post Grad accredited study e.g., MSc in relevant health studies

* Advanced clinical knowledge relevant to the care environment and evidence of evidence-based practice in relevant health setting
* Awareness of own strengths and limitations
