Role Overview
We have an exciting opportunity for a talented & enthusiastic Assistant Buyer who has a passion for Sportswear. Your role as an Assistant Buyer will be supporting and assisting the Category Leader to identify and procure the hottest products on the market. Life within this team is fast and full-paced, and we are only getting bigger and stronger. As an Assistant Buyer, you will have a great work ethic, with a strong attention to detail and the ability to multi-task. You should also have a genuine passion for Sports Fashion and be aware of the current major brands and products on the market.

What We Need You To Do
* Assist the Category Leader and other Assistant Buyers in building positive relationships with new and existing brands while maintaining positive working relationships to help maximize potential within the marketplace.
* Continuously build extensive knowledge of the marketplace in order to be proactive when opportunities arise through gaps in the market or new brands.
* Monitor and analyze sales data, stock, price trends, and competition.
* Manage order books, daily orders, and deliveries.
* Review and identify stock opportunities.
* Assist the Category Leader with marketing ideas, market research, and methods to help drive sales online, in catalogues, and for campaigns.
* Research current events on social media to ensure that we are up-to-date with current trends and competition.
Your Skills
* Proven and demonstrable experience from similar buying roles and/or experience in the eCommerce retail industry.
* A proactive and driven approach to required tasks.
* The ability to maintain a professional attitude and demeanor, including courteous interactions with team members and other departments.
* Good communication skills and the ability to provide clear and concise instructions/briefs.
* Able to work independently and resourcefully.
* Travel as and when required to fulfill role responsibilities.
