Join the dynamic team at Fiasco Ltd as a Product Designer. In this full-time role based in Cambridge Waikato, you will have the opportunity to design innovative furniture and product solutions that embody the company's passion for exceptional design.
About the role:
This role involves daily designing, making, and testing of products. Our manufacturing methodology is centred around CNC routers and lean manufacturing processes. We operate an extremely rapid design, prototype, and evaluate loop which will allow you to step from design to manufacturing and real-world testing, often on the same day.

What you'll be doing:
* Utilise your strong technical skills to create detailed models, engineering drawings, and prototypes.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to conceptualise and develop new product designs.
* Once prototypes are accepted, you will collaborate with our manufacturing teams to ensure production is viable and efficient.
* Create final drawings, QC specifications, and manufacturing guidelines.
* Design customer instructions and product information.
What we're looking for:
* Degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, or a related field.
* Proficiency in 2D or 3D modelling software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Rhino.
* Strong technical skills in areas like sketching, prototyping, and engineering.
* Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
* Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively in a team.
* Passion for sustainable design principles and materials.
* CAD Skills: Experience with AutoCAD (Mac) or other design platforms.
* Sketching & Modelling: Quickly communicate ideas visually.
* Manufacturing Aptitude: Interest in diverse methods, especially CNC and plywood-based manufacturing.
* Resourceful & Problem-Solving Attitude: Ability to tackle new challenges.
* Integrity & Efficiency: Demonstrates reliable work habits and a high level of trustworthiness.
