Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency has a new permanent position available for a Strategic Safeguarding Partnership Manager to work Full Time based in Haringey.
The salary for this permanent Strategic Safeguarding Partnership Manager job is up to £61,491per annum.
Main duties:
* Lead on all business planning against priorities agreed through multi-agency strategic safeguarding boards, and manage the production and timely delivery of Annual Reports.
* Keep abreast of changes and developments in Government policy, guidance and research, to ensure that professional practice across all agencies with regard to safeguarding children and vulnerable adults in the borough is well informed and up to date.
* Develop and promote good working relationships with multi-agency partners and with other interested agencies. To take a lead role overseeing the effective functioning of the partnership.
* Identify and monitor the progress of relevant strategic initiatives across the multi-agency partnership, produce reports for the partnership in order to monitor and improve interagency practice.
* Co-ordinate statutory processes for learning reviews, Child and Death Reviews, ensuring compliance with statutory guidance and London Child Protection Procedures/PanLondon Safeguarding Adults Procedures.
* Ensure that appropriate processes are in place to monitor the implementation of procedures and oversee inter-agency practice. Contribute to current audit processes and the setting of standards in multi-agency safeguarding practice.
* Line manage the Training Officer and Executive Officer posts, together with any other staff the Board identifies as necessary to support its operation.
* Ensure that all staff receive regular, high quality, challenging and reflective supervision and performance appraisal according to departmental and council policy and guidance.
* Act as the single point of contact for the multi-agency partnership agencies, members and the public on matters relating to the partnership and its work.
* Create and maintain good relationships with other strategic partnerships managers in other boroughs on specific issues such as cross-borough Serious Case Reviews. Representation as and when required within these groups.
* Maintain a through overview of safeguarding issues and developments to inform local strategic plans, policies and procedures.
* Publicise the Strategic Safeguarding Partnership and its work among partner agencies, private, voluntary and independent sector organisations, community and faith groups and the public, through face-to-face meetings, presentations and a range of media.
Requirements of this Strategic Safeguarding Partnership Manager role:
* A social Work Qualification or equivalent.
* Understanding of relevant legislation.
* Registered or eligible for registration.
* Skilled and experienced in all aspects of people management.
