Building Services Manager required to work for a premier engineering services provider. As a Building Services Manager, you will be responsible for supporting a civil engineering / construction business working from the Slough office however traveling to sites nationwide. Our client provides superior technical engineering and management services specialising in the food, beverage, dairy, personal care, chemical and pharmaceutical industries.
The successful Building Services Manager will be responsible for supervising the directly employed tradesmen and labourers together with the specialist and trade subcontractors who are employed on number of contracts. It is required that the Building Services Manager will effectively plan and control all site-building operations according to the safety and hygiene requirements of the particular production area and the contract programme.
Building Services Manager Position Overview
1. Required to take full control of the day-to-day running of a small construction business in support of the main engineering division.
2. Effectively plan and control all building related operations according to hygiene and health and safety acts
3. Ensure a safe working practice
4. Prepare cost estimates for minor works and variations to larger projects
5. Pre planning labour requirements for current/upcoming projects
6. Prepare Risk assessments and Method Statements
7. To ensure progress reports are completed each month
8. Manage external suppliers and contractors
Building Services Manager Position Requirement
9. Civil Engineering / Construction experience
10. Degree qualified or equivalent
11. Full understanding of the CDM Regulations
12. Experience Managing construction work in food production and pharmaceutical plants
13. Ability to ensure that the appropriate methods of quality controls are implemented on site
14. UK Driving license
15. Totally flexible in terms of working patterns
16. Live in the UK and have UK work experience
Building Services Manager Position Remuneration
17. Salary £55K - £65K
18. Annual Discretionary Bonus dependent on Company and individual performance
19. Mileage for business use paid tax free at 45p per mile for first 10,000 miles and 25p per mile thereafter
20. 20 days holiday
21. 3% contribution to Workplace pension scheme.
