The Opportunity Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy the challenge of hands-on assembly work? We are looking for Assembly Operatives to join our professional team based in Amersham. You will be assembling a range of components primarily for the manufacture of aircraft interiors. Working with a range of materials, including polycarbonate, metals and composite materials, you will ensure all components are assembled to exacting standards. The ideal applicant will possess strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and a flair for assembling components with speed and accuracy. Full time hours : 38 hours per week, Monday – Thursday 07:30 - 16:15 and Friday 07:30-12:30 with a 30-minute lunch, and a short morning and afternoon break each day. What can we offer you? What will I be responsible for? Your key responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Bonding and assembly of plastic aircraft interior products, such as interior panels, meal tray tables, seat backs, literature pockets, magazine racks, Complete tasks to work instructions and drawing, meeting and exceeding operation manufacturing times, Preparation and assembly of composite components, Repair and overhaul damaged plastic components, Visually Inspect and self-certify finished products to key characteristics, Undertake training and carry out other production and assembly duties as required, Actively participate and contribute to lean manufacturing sessions to improve production efficiency key skills and competencies participating in regular SQCDP Board meetings. Our ideal candidate Has the ability to accurately follow work instructions and read engineering drawings, Previous experience in the assembly of manufactured components, Aerospace Interiors assembly experience will be an advantage (but not essential), Experience in the use of machinery including band saws, hand routers, drills, and hand tools, Be able to work under own initiative and as part of a professional team, High level of attention to detail and accuracy, Problem solving skills, Good hand to eye coordination, Willing to learn, develop and complete any required training.
