An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Veterinary Surgeon to join a well-established and community focused practice in Southampton, which has been supporting pets, assisting people in need, and training veterinary professionals since 1929! With a dedicated and experienced team, many of whom have been with the practice for over a decade, this is a fantastic place to grow and thrive in your career.
This busy and varied caseload offers everything from routine vaccinations to emergency care, ensuring no two days are the same. However, the well-structured shift pattern is designed to provide balance and prevent monotony. The practice takes a pragmatic yet client focused approach, prioritising clinical outcomes over targets, so you can focus on delivering exceptional patient care. The team culture is second to none, with a strong emphasis on support, collaboration, and career development, which has earned them a place among the top 25 organisations to work for in the UK!
They are looking for a passionate, RCVS registered vet who is eager to develop their skills, take on interesting cases, and work with autonomy. Confidence in sole charge, routine surgeries, and case workups is required, but ongoing training and support are always available to help you grow. Strong communication and leadership skills are essential, as you'll be working alongside a diverse team and leading by example. Your role will also involve championing the charity, promoting client contributions, and finding ways to improve efficiency, ensuring the best care for both pets and owners.
Southampton offers the best of both worlds—a vibrant waterfront city with fantastic cultural, shopping, and dining experiences, as well as easy access to the stunning New Forest and South Coast beaches, perfect for outdoor enthusiasts. If you're looking for a rewarding role in a supportive, forward-thinking practice, this is the perfect opportunity to make a real difference while enjoying an excellent work-life balance!
