LOCATION: Hybrid working both from the Office in Evesham, Worcestershire, West Midlands, and from home - with some travel to other sites when required

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Building Maintenance and Repair Inspector who has technical expertise in building surveying or maintenance, strong customer service skills and good knowledge of health and safety legislation and housing management.
Working as the Building Maintenance and Repair Inspector you will support the delivery of a customer focused responsive repair service in liaison with the Repairs Manager across the housing stock.
As the Building Maintenance and Repair Inspector your role will involve diagnosing complex maintenance issues – including damp and mould and conducting site visits as needed.
DUTIES
Your duties as the Building Maintenance and Repair Inspector will include:
• Conduct maintenance inspections and site visits
• Diagnosis of complex maintenance issues such as damp and mould
• Pre- and post-inspections
• Investigating complaints
• Overseeing rectifications
• Conducting Stock Condition Surveys (SCSs), Housing Health and Safety Rating System surveys (HHSRS), and Fire Risk Assessments (FRAs) in communal areas
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
• Professional building qualification or equivalent experience in a similar role
• Strong technical expertise and background in building surveying or building maintenance
• Able to navigate complex maintenance issues in a timely and efficient manner
• Experience in preparing technical reports, specifications and schedules of work
• Excellent commitment to customer service
• Good knowledge of health and safety legislation and housing management
• Ability to work collaboratively and build effective relationships with team members and external stakeholders
• Excellent communication skills
• Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Natural problem solver
