Clinical Healthcare Support Worker - Breast Imaging, Band 3 (22.5 hours a week)
The post holder provides support and assistance to aid the running of both assessment and symptomatic breast clinics in Thirlestaine Breast Centre. The post is for 22.5 hours per week with the following shift pattern:
Tuesday 8:00am - 5:00pm
Thursday 8:00am - 5:00pm
Friday 8:00am-1:30pm
Main duties of the job
To work as part of the Breast Imaging team assisting in the delivery of high quality services under the supervision of qualified staff. You will assist the imaging team in the undertaking of both symptomatic and screening clinics.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Minimum Grade C(4) GCSE in English
* Minimum Grade C(4) GCSE or equivalent in Science or Health and Social Care based subject
* Evidence of Further Training
Experience
* Previous experience in a healthcare environment
Knowledge/Skills
* Ability to work on own initiative, independently and as part of a team
* Knowledge of physical and psychological needs of people (patients)
* Good interpersonal skills to convey information and work effectively with patients, and maintain good working relations with other healthcare staff
* Good organisational skills
* Ability to think quickly and assess clinical situations
