About the Opportunity The responsibility of the Food Safety and Compliance Support Specialist is to provide assistance and support the to the Food Safety and Compliance team primarily in the UK however in addition across the EMEA region. The role works to deliver the Food Safety and Compliance strategy for DEMEA in the UK. Active participation in EMEA compliance meetings and projects. The goal of the Food Safety and Compliance Support Specialist is to ensure delivery of internal processes and procedures allowing for the effective management of compliance information for due diligence and food safety. Responsibilities Support in collation of all due diligence and compliance requirements and related information to ensure all certification is maintained SEDEX platform support including reporting, risk assessment and providing SAQ information to all regions Booking in and processing of samples for product testing programme and associated tasks including tracker maintenance and results upload to relevant platforms to allow for sharing. Completion of trending data associated with product testing for relevant functions. Daily check of imported fruit against product testing plan for new grower arrivals and subsequent actions where required Receiving, cross checking, filing and creating Expense Purchase Orders (EPOs) for the functional area. Taking notes during relevant team meetings and managing post meeting follow ups and actions Invoice processing and tracker maintenance Creation of annual grower product testing risk assessments Providing cover during absence and assistance at all other times for the Food Safety and Compliance team Day to day input of information into supplier approval portals including test results information e.g. Greenlight / Food Experts Creation of monthly reports relevant to the team Support in the ongoing maintenance of the product testing risk assessment Uploading and maintaining documents on the BGG grower extranet on behalf of the team Support in maintaining information on the Safety Chain platform Creation and subsequent management of data related to forms associated with the team Provide assistance with travel requests from the team Active participation in EMEA compliance meetings and projects Supporting and assisting with other key technical and compliance support as and when required Any other tasks requested by management which are considered to be within the scope of the responsibility of the post holder. Candidate Profile Education, Knowledge and Experience required for the role Academic Degree: Desirable however not essential Professional experience: At least 2 years of experience in a similar role Areas of experience: Provision of administrative support for Technical requirements Certifications and Technical skills: Basic HACCP and Food Hygiene qualifications desirable Advanced skills with word. Intermediate skills with excel Foreign Language: Excellent written English essential
