We are looking for a Team Leader to support our young people in our Aldershot children's home. Our home management team includes a senior team of 2 former Ofsted inspectors (Responsible Individual and Operations Manager) ensuring a high standard of learning, development and quality of care. You will be responsible for assisting the Registered Manager to achieve high standards and ensure children receive the best possible care. The role will entail both shift and management admin days as required within a shift pattern. Rates/salary Salary of £34,140 - £35,460 per year (basic (£28.2k) salary inclusive of sleeps) Overtime hourly rate of £15.06 Enhanced hourly rate (selective days) of £18.56 Sleep-in rate of £55 per sleep-in (average sleeps 9-11 per month. Additional sleep-in opportunities available) Birthday off and paid (value of £200 to £250) Main Duties And Responsibilities Support the day-to-day running of the home including supervising and leading the staff team Work closely with the Registered Manager to manage relationships with relevant stakeholders, professionals and partners Work in partnership with parents, carers and other professionals to safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people To promote the efficient and effective operation of the home and support the manager in creating a compelling vision for staff Lead the home in the absence of managers On-call support duties as per shared on-call rota To work flexibly, which includes office hours, and may include early morning and late nights, regular weekend hours & bank holidays if shift cover is required Experience And Qualifications A relevant Level 5 qualification in children's residential social care management or willing to work to achieve this (desirable) Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent qualification (ESSENTIAL) Minimum 2 years’ experience in a children’s home (ESSENTIAL) PLEASE NOTE: this role is unable to offer sponsorship at this time.
