MEP Engineer

General Overview:
Harwell is Moderna's new Innovation and Technology Centre (MITC) site which is responsible for the development and manufacture of its pharmaceutical products. The site consists of manufacturing, clean rooms, laboratory, office, and plant rooms. The nature of their business requires their Lab and manufacturing areas to meet clean room standards. The maintenance of their HVAC equipment is of utmost importance to ensure their production and science always remains operational.
Impact:
1. Ensure all PPM is carried out in accordance with the maintenance specification and documented in real time using the PDA to log start/wait/stop completion and travel times with appropriate comments to evidence completion of work.
2. Ensure that all relevant paperwork is completed regarding PPM, reactive and breakdown works and that it is passed without delay to the contract administrator.
3. Update customers CAFM system in real time with start/wait/stop completion times and provide full description of works undertaken, advising of any follow-on works required.
4. Ensure reactive tasks throughout the sites are completed and be proactive in highlighting areas where improvements can be made.
5. Identify and record all plant failures using quotation forms and issue to line manager. This is to be indicated and recorded within the CAFM system.
6. Ensure that plant faults and defects are swiftly remedied to maintain plant in serviceable order.
7. Ensure that suitable spares are available to carry out both maintenance and reactive works.
8. Undertake Point of Work Risk Assessment (POWRA) prior to starting work evidencing it is safe to proceed.
9. Ensure that Method Statements and Risk Assessments are prepared and used for all tasks undertaken.
10. Ensure the provision of a Safe and Healthy working environment.
11. Operate a Permit to Work System in accordance with the client, Technical and SHEQ processes and client requirements.
12. Ensure that all plant rooms are kept in a clean and tidy condition.
13. Supervise and monitor subcontractors' works whilst they are on site undertaking maintenance.
14. Ensure an awareness and compliance to the contractual KPI's/SLA's.
15. Attend site in response to breakdowns or failures of the equipment outside of normal working hours (call outs).
16. Participate in the regional on-call rota.
17. Undertake regular audits of tools to ensure they are in safe working order.

14. Assisting engineers with other PPM or reactive tasks
Qualifications or Required Experience:
1. A recognised industry qualifications
2. Previous experience in undertaking a similar role.
3. Must have a full clean drivers' licence.
4. Computer literate
5. Good communicator
6. Self-motivated and able to work unsupervised
7. Able to work as part of a team
8. Flexible and adaptable to change
9. To always maintain a clean and smart appearance
10. Fluent in English both written and oral.
11. Must be available to participate in an out of hour's standby rota.
