IRCA is a leading international provider of semi-finished ingredients for the bakery, pastry and gelato markets, serving independent producers as well as large food manufacturers (e.g. CPG). Core products include chocolate, chocolate decorations, creams, pastry mixes, gelato ingredients, and other bakery / pastry ingredients.
The Company, headquartered in Italy, was acquired by Advent International, the global Private Equity firm, in July 2022, and has a strong track record of growth over the last decade. IRCA has made 2 bolt-on acquisitions in the areas of candied fruits (Cesarin) and pistachio ingredients (Anastasi) in 2022, and recently acquired a leading manufacturer of sweet and cereal products in Europe and the US. The target’s business focuses on high-value add specialty ingredients for the Food Manufacturers segment, with a portfolio that incorporates a range of products including sweet particulates, chocolate confections, baked inclusions, variegates and fruit purées.
This transformative deal created a global leader in the semi-finished ingredients industry, with 22 manufacturing facilities in Europe, US and Vietnam and a combined €1 billion of revenues (2022)
Duties
* Responsible for following company rules, regulations & training. Wearing specified P.P.E correctly as per company requirements.
* Responsible for maintaining a good standard of work & meeting quality & efficiency standards. Any quality & inefficiencies are to be reported to the shift Supervisor with immediate effect. Any health & safety food safety issue such as unsafe working conditions, product contamination & metal failures are to be reported to the Shift Supervisor immediately.
* Responsible for maintaining accurate work documents with all relevant process information.
* Responsible for inputting accurate live information into the M3 operating system. Issuing raw materials to maintain accurate stock levels. Using materials in batch order oldest first following FIFO. Ensuring stock that has been used during the shift is correct at the end of the shift. Any stock discrepancies must be reported to the shift Supervisor with immediate effect.
* Responsible for adhering to the clean as you go & good housekeeping throughout the workplace & ensure that cleaning documentation is maintained.
* Responsible for carrying out prestart checks & any issues are to be raised with the shift Supervisor with immediate effect.
Experience
* Must be physically fit, have an eye for detail, good team player
* Good decision maker, good communication skills, computer literacy.
* Will be required to use machinery
* Will report directly to the Shift Supervisor.
* The role requires cooperation & commitment.
Will be required to work a continental shift pattern across a 7-day, 4-week rotating pattern. 12 hour shifts, days and nights.
Shifts work on a 4, week rotating pattern.
Week 1: Monday to Thursday night shift, 6pm to 6am.
Week 2: Monday to Wednesday day shift, 6am to 6pm, rest day, Friday to Sunday night shift 6pm to 6am.
Week 3: Thursday to Sunday day shift, 6am to 6pm.
Week 4: Rest week.
Starting rate is £11.44 per hour plus £2.29 shift pay per hour, after successfully passing probation this will increase to £11.74 per hour and £2.36 shift pay per hour
