What you can add: Expert Clinical : Practice acquired through post registration academic study. Leadership to motivate the department and team to ensure excellent nursing care supervision and support to junior staffs. Professional Role: To ensure that all nursing procedures are carried out in accordance with West herts Trust policies. Maintaining personal contact with patients, relatives and carer being sensitive to their needs for courtesy, dignity and privacy. Managing the department in the absence of Senior and Junior Sister co-ordinating the clinical team and delegating duties as appropriate. Storing, checking and administering drugs in accordance with Trust policy. The role will involve, but not be limited to you performing the above. What youll need: Education & Qualifications :- RGN Evidence of ongoing development and education related to speciality Awareness of professional responsibilities Diploma in ENB 998 / or equivalent Nursing Knowledge :- An awareness of relevant political & professional issues in health care. Experience :- Experience in a relevant clinical area. Post registration Experience in mentoring and assessing, students Skills :- Act as Role model Ability to prioritise work and to co-ordinate your clinical area Good communication and written skills Experience of working autonomously and within team Special skills in an area of nursing desirable(i.e. ENT, Diabetes, Wound care, compression dressings I.T literate *Depending on the Trust, you may require variable additional certification and skills.
