Quest Employment are working with a company that specialise in cutting-edge security and intelligence solutions, working with Government agencies both in the UK and globally to find an experienced Senior Embedded Software Engineer to join their dedicated team.
Hours:
* Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm

Responsibilities:
* Being the main point of contact for all technical aspects from design, development, and manufacture.
* Being hands on with the design, build and test of products.
* Working to deadlines and schedules.
* Maintaining good version control.
* Responsible for controlling personal workload and identifying any further resource need.
* Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
Qualifications and Requirements:
* 10 years’ industry experience OR BEng Degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering (or equivalent) with minimum 7 years of experience.
* Ability to demonstrate previous product development from concept through to production.
* Proficiency with microcontroller programming (PIC, ARM, Atmel AVR…)
* Proficiency in communication protocols such as SPI, I2C, UART. Ethernet advantageous.
* Proficiency with communications protocols and suitable hardware would be desirable.
* Experience with IoT & LoRa desirable.
* Self-driven.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
