Payroll Administrator
Location: Birmingham
Contract: 6-month Fixed Term Contract (with potential to go permanent based on performance)
Salary: £27,000 – £30,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Hours: Full-time (5 days a week, dropping to 4 after training)
Are you an organised and detail-oriented payroll professional looking for your next challenge? We are recruiting for a Payroll Administrator to join a dynamic team in Birmingham City Centre on a 6-month fixed-term contract, with the possibility of a permanent role based on performance.
Key Responsibilities:
* Process end-to-end payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
* Handle payroll queries and resolve discrepancies quickly and effectively.
* Maintain up-to-date records of payroll changes, including tax codes, benefits, and deductions.
* Ensure compliance with payroll policies and procedures, and all relevant legislation.
* Assist with the preparation of payroll reports and data analysis for senior management.
* Support the HR team with payroll-related administration, including P45s, P60s, and timesheets.
* Contribute to process improvements to ensure efficient payroll operations.
About You:
* A minimum of 1 year of experience in payroll or a similar role.
* Familiarity with payroll systems and procedures.
* Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational skills.
* Ability to manage sensitive information with confidentiality.
* Team player with a proactive attitude and a problem-solving approach.
* Comfortable working on-site 5 days a week (dropping to 4 after training).
